Full Itinerary
Day 1: Vientiane arrival - Religious Tour (L, D)
After you arrive in Vientiane, start the Laos tour with a visit to the the ancient Wat Si Muang temple. Then reach Buddha Park which takes about 45 minutes. On the way, stop and take pictures of the Friendship Bridge which was built by the Australian Government in 1994 and connects Laos and Thailand.
Arrive at Buddha Park and enjoy a walk in the park. Also known as Xieng Khuan, this park is filled with over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues. The concrete sculptures are weird, but intriguing, sitting majestically in the peaceful park. After visiting Buddha Park, return to Vientiane.
Day 2: Vientiane City Tour (B, L, D)
After breakfast, visit Talad Sao then you will explore Vientiane's capital by visiting the main sights of the capital including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the ancient royal temple of Wat Ho Prakeo, which previously housed the famous statue of the Emerald Buddha. On the way to the precious national heritage Laos, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane capital.
In the afternoon, we visit the Buddha Park which takes about 45 minutes. On the way, stop and take pictures of the Friendship Bridge that was built by the Australian Government in 1994 and connects Laos and Thailand. Arrive at Buddha Park and enjoy a walk in the park. After visiting the Buddha Park, return to Vientiane and go to the edge at the Mekong late afternoon to watch the sunset.
Day 3: Vientiane - Luang Prabang (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you board our flight to Luang Prabang.
After a short rest, you visit the impressive Stupa of Wat Visoun and Traditional Arts and Ethnology Center to learn about many inhabited ethnic cultures in Laos. Then visit the National Museum and Wat Xieng Thong. And climb Mount Phousi, with 328 steps that lead to the top of the hill; you will discover the most beautiful panoramic view of the city Luang Prabang. From there, you explore the night market where you can find a beautiful selection of textiles hand-made by locals living around Luang Prabang province.
Day 4: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you have a cruise of a few hours on the Mekong to arrive at the Pak Ou Cave located in the cavity of a rock on the Nam Ou River. The sanctuaries at Pak are two large caverns with two deposits that contain thousands of Buddha statues, ranging from a few centimeters to more than two meters of height. And then, you continue to arrive at Ban Muangkeo, a village known for traditional rice whiskey. You are welcome to discover their work and enjoy this specialty.
Return to Luang Prabang province in the afternoon. Continue to visit the Kuang Si waterfall (30km south), which is spectacular in the green environment of the National Park. You stop on the road to visit Ban Na Oune, a small village of Hmong, probably the most famous minority group in Laos. Picnic at the waterfall and spend time swimming in the cool water. Lunch at a restaurant by the river. Return to Luang Prabang province in the afternoon. Dinner in a local restaurant
Day 5: Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall - Departure (B, L)
Continue to visit the Kuang Si waterfall (30km south), which is spectacular in the green environment of the National Park. You stop on the road to visit Ban Na Oune, a small village of Hmong, probably the most famous minority group in Laos. Picnic at the waterfall and spend time swimming in the cool water. Back to Luang Prabang province, climb the Mount Phousi, with 328 steps that lead to the top of the hill; you will discover the most beautiful panoramic view of the city Luang Prabang.
