Day 1: Houeixai - Pakbeng (L)

In the morning, go on the traditional slow boat for the cruise down the river to the river town of Pakbeng. Along the Mekong River, you can see the most beautiful scenery. On the way, you also drop in some Hmong, Yao, and Khmu ethnic minority villages and have the opportunity to observe their traditional lifestyle and have lunch on the deck.
Arriving at Pakbeng late afternoon, you will check in to your bungalow and enjoy a few drinks watching the sunset over the mountains and the Mekong. Overnight in Pakbeng.

Day 2: Pakbeng - Trekking (B)

Before having breakfast, the guide will take you to villages by 7 km north of Pakbeng town to visit the Khmu villages on the red-soil road, passing small forests, rice fields, the spectacular scenery and a rustic village with wooden bamboo houses. Along the way, you can stop to take photos with children and the hard-working farmers in the field. On the arrival at the home of a Khmu family at Ban Kham village, take part in daily life, including some steps of peeling rice by hand. During the trip in the village, you have the chance to hear the guide introduce to some traditional customs of the Khmu people and how the difference between the three biggest ethnic groups in Laos, back to town for lunch and afternoon, Wat Sichomjeng, Wat Kokkormingmoungkhoun are the next destination. Then, Overnight in Pakbeng.

Day 3: Pakbeng - Oudomxay - Nam Ket Yolapa (B)

Early morning breakfast, we will visit the local market in Pakbeng observing the variety of local foodstuffs and products including special foods. From there you transfer to Nam Ket Yolapa will be your next destination in today. The distance of your journey is approximately 150km and en-route stop visiting local Hmong, Khmu ethnic minority, pottery, handicraft villages at Ban Nyor. Arrival at Nam Kat Yolapa by sunset. Nam Kat Yolapa is one of the most diversity eco-lodge hiding out at the deep jungle or rain forest. You also can take part in some activities here such as zip line, treetop house or trekking to villages. Overnight at Nam Kat Yolapa

Day 4: Nam Kat Yolapa - Nong Khiaw (B)

Have a breakfast, move to Nong Khiaw. Upon arrival, flowing on a small long-tail motorboat on Nam Ou River, you can see the scenery around as well as the local life on the bank of rivers. When you back to the little hillside town at Nong Khiaw, you have the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular view of limestone mountain kart and local life on both sides of the riverbank by sunset. On the last day, overnight at Nong Khiaw.

Day 5: Muang Ngoi - Luang Prabang (B)

In the morning is the best time to visit some UNESCO Heritage sites in the town of Luang Prabang, which takes about 150m by driving. On the way, we drive to Ban Pak Ou and cross the Mekong by longtail boat visit Pak - Ou Cave, one of the most famous ancient pilgrimage sites and containing thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images left there over hundreds of years. When the sunset is also you arrive Luang Prabang. We will transfer you to your hotel. Before leaving, use your tiny time to explore the town and relax after a long trip in the north highlight attraction in Laos. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
