Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Luang Prabang Arrival - Ban Chan - Khmu Village - Baci Ceremony

Day 1: Luang Prabang - Ban Chan - Khmu Village - Baci Ceremony (L/D)

We begin our tuk-tuk trip in the morning to a Khmu village near Luang Prabang. After crossing the legendary Mekong River on a local ferry, we will continue along the dirt roads. Along the way, images of everyday life will be ideal for your photos: rustic wooden houses, children playing around, and people working the land. We will also visit the village of Ban Chan, where we will learn the technique of pottery. If you're interested, you can try to make a little pot yourself.

Then we will visit a Khmu family where we will enjoy a local lunch served with traditional dishes of Laos. In the afternoon, we will visit an organic garden where you have the opportunity to pick some suitable ingredients for dinner and learn more about their name and use in Laos cuisine. You can join the host to prepare dinner if you wish. Through the knowledgeable guide, you will learn more about the traditions of the Khmu people before attending a Baci ceremony meant to bring good luck to people.

Day 2: Khmu Village - Luang Prabang - Departure (B)

After waking up in the morning in the peaceful atmosphere of the village, a hearty traditional Laos breakfast will make your day more energetic. Then you will be transferred to the bank of the Mekong River with a stop to visit Wat Long Khoun, which is served as a royal retreat center for spiritual revitalization. It is not a must-see destination in Luang Prabang's classical excursions, but many tourists appreciate it for its calm and peaceful atmosphere. Cross the majestic Mekong River again by local ferry and greet your host. We will drive you back to Luang Prabang by tuk-tuk.
